The Church of St Peter, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, England

Notes:
In 1850 William Price-Jones became vicar of Cleethorpes and it was his Christian vision which led to the building of St Peter's Church. Designed by well known local architect James Fowler, it was opened in 1866. At this time, Cleethorpes was still a fishing village with a small population of 1,500. However the opening of the railway introduced tourism to the area and the church was soon needed for the rapidly developing tourist town. Today the population is nearer 40,000 and Cleethorpes is still a popular destination for visitors seeking rest and recreation. Of notable interest are the eight stained glass windows.
