Oxon Church provides a very friendly environment in an attractive setting. Constructed in 1854 the church was originally built so that the people of Shelton and Oxon would be able to attend church services even when the river severn was in full flood - they would not normally have been able to reach the churches in the town centre in this event.Nowadays the church caters for a parish of approximately 8500. The main church building has a seating capacity of about 150.
