Notes:
St. Mary's is a 12th century with a number of additions. It is a historic church at the centre of the town. There is nearby a large building called the Parish Rooms—whose future is under review—in which is situated the Team Office. There is a robed choir (mainly adult) of high quality and a digital organ that replaced the pipe organ in 1987. The church is widely used for concerts. The church is known for its Clypping Service which is the Patronal Festival; it also hosts the Civic Service. It has a closed graveyard; the church is open daily throughout the year. The church, Rectory and Parish Rooms were extensively used in the filming of Carlton TV’s 2003 mini-soap “Sweet Medicine”. Address : Latitude: 53.0820389, Longitude: -1.5723216
