  Histories		John MARSHALL's Sailing Record Ruairidh says "These are from John Marshall's discharge certificates. There is a gap round about 1866-8, when a letter states he was on the Mazinthien, but I haven't included it because there's no official corroboration
  		John MARSHALL - Mate of the "Queen" On the 19th of October 1866 the “Peterhead Sentinel” reported the safe arrival of the seal and whale fishing vessel “Queen” after an absence of nearly 19 months. The Mate was John Marshall. During the whole period they had caught no fish, seals or whales and were only able to survive because of the knowledge that John Marshall had of the food caches placed by his father - also John Marshall
  		The loss of the ship “Joseph Green” of Peterhead at Greenland The ship “Joseph Green” sailed from Peterhead for the Greenland Fisheries on the 20th of February 1852. John MARSHALL was harpooner on board. This is the story of the crews survival after the ship was lost.
